One of the priorities  of the Armenian Armed Forces today is the replenishment of the Armed  Forces with modern weapons, military equipment and material and  technical means necessary for the army based on the introduction of  modern principles and systems of military command and control, as  well as the establishment of new criteria for enhancing combat  skills.  

ArmInfo.The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in the Karabakh conflict zone is tense. This was in conversation with journalists, Armenian Prime  Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated.

ArmInfo.On the eve of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, an attempt was made to carry out engineering work to strengthen positions in some sectors of the  Nakhchivan sector of the border. Artsrun ovhannisyan, spokesman for the Defense Ministry, wrote this on his Facebook page.

ArmInfo. Mass protests in Yerevan and the regions of the country can negatively affect the defense process. This was announced by  Armenian Defense Minister Vigen  Sargsyan on April 28 during a visit to the units of the 4th Army Corps.

ArmInfo. Vigen Sargsyan, acting Defense Minister of Armenia, at a meeting with rehabilitation servicemen touched upon the recent developments in the country, in particular, the participation of soldiers and officers in protest actions.   In this regard, Sargsyan again stressed that the only mission of the serviceman is to ensure the security of the two Armenian republics. "And we will continue to carry out this mission with zeal," Pashinyan said. He also said that the movement of military equipment and manpower to the side of the line of contact of Artsakh did not stop. "And this is fraught with serious threats," Sargsyan said, adding that the Armenian Armed Forces closely monitor the adversar’s steps and are ready at any moment to respond. 

ArmInfo. No one can replace a fighter on the front line. On April 18, during a video bridge from Moscow, said Russian military expert Igor Korotchenko, answering the  question whether today there are such cyber soldiers that can replace  military personnel on the front line.

ArmInfo. The person who evaded military service or whose sons did not serve in the Armenian Armed Forces should not have the right to hold a high public office.   This was stated by the head of the Public Council of Armenia Vazgen  Manukyan at the 6th forum of Armenia-Diaspora.

ArmInfo.From year to year, Azerbaijan increases its defense spending, which indicates  Baku's intention to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh issue by force.  Colonel Viktor Arustamyan, chief of the operational department of Defense Army of Nagorno Karabakh Republic stated at the conference "Military-Political Tactics of the Enemy and Our Actions" organized by ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" on September 4 in Yerevan.

The Head of the operational department of the Defense Army of  the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Colonel Viktor Arustamyan announced  this at the conference "Military-Political Tactics of the Enemy and  Our Actions" organized by the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" on September 4 in  Yerevan.

ArmInfo.Due to the absence of a breakthrough in the negotiation process on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, the Armenian side should be ready for periodic  exacerbations on the front line. The ARF Dashnaktsutyun announced this at the conference organized on September 4, Deputy Defense Minister Artak Zakaryan stated.

ArmInfo.In case of new attack by the Azerbaijani side, the Armenian armed forces will launch a counteroffensive and expand the current security zone around Artsakh.  The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh, the commander of  the Defense Army, Lieutenant-General Levon Mnatsakanyan stated on the  Public Television of Armenia.

ArmInfo. Azerbaijan implements enhanced security regime in frontline contact zone settlements, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on May 16.  The content of the rules is not divulged, and the issues noted in the order are instructed to the Government.
